Hakone by Amy Herzog |
Speaking of Amy Herzog (which I do a lot of in this episode), she has a new book coming out in March 2015, called Knit Wear Love: Foolproof Instructions for Knitting Your Best-Fitting Sweaters Ever in the Styles You Love to Wear
I also mentioned Amy Herzog's Craftsy class, Knit to Flatter, which I highly recommend. She is so knowledgeable!
FOs -
I know I technically counted it as a FO last week, but I still had the ends to sew in, the underarms to graft, and the blocking to do (plus buttons, which are still not done), but I'm done pretty much everything, including blocking on the Gramps Cardi by Kate Oates.
Inspiration (knitting) -
SamanthaLW on Ravelry.
Spinning -
I talk about The Fleece & Fiber Sourcebook
The breeds I mention are Clun Forest and Rambouillet.
This week's Finished Spin (FS) - Sweet Georgia superwash BFL in the Sugar Shack colourway on my Hansen Mini Spinner. 105 grams, 395 yards of traditional 3-ply. Fingering weight.
...and despite not being able to actually remember the proper name, I mentioned the Completely Twisted and Arbitrary Spinning group on Ravelry.
Acquisitions -
Abstract Fiber.
January Spun Right Round Fiber Club
I also mention Dark Matter Knits Podcast briefly, as well as Deb Robson's free Craftsy class, called Know Your Wool, which is appropriate for anyone who works with wool, whether spinners or not.
Soundtrack -
"Pamgaea" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)
